The combination of different trends in China - such as dramatic economic growth, adverse environmental and social consequences, the need to reform the educational system to foster ability of citizens to cope with the challenges of the future - set the scene for this challenging conference.

Deadlines
International researchers, PhD and Master students (Nordic only) working on China in any discipline is invited to submit abstracts.
- 1 March 2009: Deadline for submitting abstract (maximum 200 words)
- 19 March 2009: Acceptance of abstracts by Academic Committee
- 15 May 2009: Deadline for submitting the full paper
